The Association offers its members a wide range of advisory services on all issues to do with the sector. At the same time, it also serves as an effective promotional tool for the firms belonging to it.

That is why we have various specialised departments with qualified staff, whose knowledge is constantly being updated, on hand to help our members.

The Association's school, which is committed to meeting its members' training needs, lays on a broad spectrum of courses aimed at providing professional training and updating the knowledge of both management and workers alike.

Always bearing in mind the priorities expressed by the companies in the Association, the following are some of the training programmes that have been and are currently being put on:

  • The Internet
  • Accounting
  • Languages, etc...

The Association's continual search for the best terms and conditions for its members has meant that in most cases access to training has not involved them in any expenditure, since the Association applies for all possible grants and subsidies available from the different levels of government.

Promoting the industrial activities of the companies belonging to our Association is one of its basic objectives, which we pursue through various channels:

  • Association Nameplate:
    This nameplate is given to members as proof of their membership.
  • Reliable Company Credential
    This credential is given to all members requesting it, providing they fulfil the conditions laid down for issuing it. You will find more information in the corresponding section.
  • Association Newsletter
    This is a monthly publication with a print run of 2,000 copies that is sent out to all members of the Association as well as architects, builders and public and private institutions.

    It covers economic, tax, social and administrative matters, reports on general and technical news concerning the Association and carries other sections on culture and social events, unusual items of interest, books, news of trade fairs and exhibitions, etc.

  • Professional Trade Fairs and Exhibitions:
    Participation in the main events held in different parts of Catalonia: Fira de Barcelona (Construmat, Maquitec, etc.), arts and crafts exhibitions, shopping malls, etc.

The Association also runs campaigns and collective advertisements in different media such as daily newspapers and trade journals, depending on what is most appropriate in the circumstances.

This Department endeavours to keep alive the link with the Association's history and tradition.

To aid it in this task, it possesses an extremely important archive of documents in the Association's Library.

This Department also runs the Association's permanent museum containing handcrafted items from all kinds of sources, most of them made by distinguished master blacksmiths.

With a view to fostering human contact among members and their relatives, the Department organises exhibitions of traditional and modern ironwork art, group visits to places of cultural and artistic interest and the festivity of Sant Eloi, the Association's patron saint.
